In 1995, we decided, after attending many log home manufacturer's seminars, to purchase our home from Appalachian Log Structures, Inc. Upon meeting with several of the management personnel, we felt “at home” with the company and were confident that Appalachian Log Structures, Inc. could provide us with a superior quality product and warranty for our investment.

We began building our custom model home on “Dumplin' Mountain Farm” in rural Bedford County, Virginia, near Smith Mountain Lake. in 1996 and in 1997 we moved into our model, along with our canine companions, and opened our home to the public. The dealership has grown and achieved much recognition of milestones along the way since 1995. Log Homes of the Blue Ridge continues to be a source of fulfillment for everyone involved. We truly feel that we are living the “good life”, and we enjoy assisting people in achieving their lifelong dream of owning a log home—one that is specifically tailored to meet the needs of their families.

We live, work and volunteer in the community. We have an investment in the integrity of the dealership, continuing to stay in touch with homeowners long after their building project is complete and move in day has come and gone. Each and every one of the log home owners who have entrusted their dream homes to us is part of our growing family.
